Multiple OMVI Program

M.O.P

In 1999, the Community Transition Center developed a residential alcohol and drug treatment program specifically designed for multiple OMVI/DUI offenders. CTC recognizes that this type of population contains issues that are best suited in a residential setting. Our programming is designed with those specific problems in mind.

The program varies in length, offering 30, 60 or 90-day program stays depending on the order of the referring Court system. CTC is a secured facility using state of the art surveillance equipment to monitor all movement both within and outside of the facility. Depending on the orders of the court, the clients may be admitted as a furlough status or participate in the work release program. The Multiple OMVI Program uses an abstinence based 12-step recovery model utilizing didactic lecture and video presentation, group therapy sessions, individual case management and sobriety support meetings (AA, NA, CA) to help facilitate positive lifestyle changes and recovery knowledge for each individual. All clients will be required to attend a therapy group that meets once a day for two hours. Each group is facilitated by a chemical dependency counselor or a licensed social worker certified by the State of Ohio. The groups focus on identifying the meaning of recovery for the individual, defining and establishing an active program of recovery, and developing a relapse prevention program.

Community Transition Center also offers education on anger management, money management, job readiness, assistance obtaining GED, and any other needs assessed.

Community Transition Center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (O.D.A.D.A.S.) to provide alcohol and drug addiction treatment and is also licensed by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (DRC), Bureau of Community Sanctions and the American Corrections Association (ACA). Referrals to the MOP program can be made from County or Municipal Court systems, Judges or Probation Departments. Payment for this program can me made either from the referring county’s Indigent Drivers Alcohol Treatment Fund or clients may enter the MOP program on a self-pay status.
